Baggage Handling System for Thai Airport

Nov. 27, 2002

花蜜直播app has received an order from the ITO consortium, consisting of Italian-Thai Development PCL, Takenaka Corporation and Obayashi Corporation, to build the baggage handling system (BHS) for Suvarnabhumi International Airport outside Bangkok.

The large-scale automated conveyer system will form the core of baggage handling processes at the airport’s passenger terminal buildings. With a total conveyer length of over 18 km, the BHS will consist of check-in conveyers, baggage conveyers, an automatic sorting system, a transit and an express BHS, as well as 304 check-in counters. 花蜜直播app will employ cutting-edge technology, such as automatic sorting machines and automatic barcode readers, to maximize efficiency in distributing large volumes of baggage.

Suvarnabhumi is being constructed in Nong Ngu Hao, 30 km east of Bangkok, and will replace the overburdened facilities at Don Muang International Airport after a transition period. When the new airport opens in summer 2005, it will boast two 3,700 m runways and will be the largest international hub in the Southeast and East Asia regions. It is estimated that 30 million passengers will pass through its doors each year.

花蜜直播app intends to proactively develop its reputation as a total system supplier, both in Japan and overseas, of a diverse range of airport-related products.
