Steam Turbine Generator Shipped to Korea

Tokyo, April 18, 2011, 花蜜直播app, Ltd. announced today that its Kobe works has shipped a steam turbine generator with a rated output of 20 MW to South Korea. The new steam turbine generator will be used in the Busan Jung-Kwan Energy power plant project currently underway in Busan, South Korea.

Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd., the general contractor overseeing the power plant construction project, placed an order for the two steam turbine generator units in September 2006. This recent shipment includes the final unit in that order. Once on-site testing is completed, ownership of the steam turbine generator will be handed over to Busan Jung-Kwan Energy, the end client. The energy company’s new plant will provide heat and power to residential areas now under construction, including steam for the unique Korean subfloor ondol heating system.

The South Korean government is responding to global environmental and energy concerns with a long-term plan geared toward urban areas that promotes natural gas-fueled combined heat and power supply systems. This power plant project administered by the Korea National Housing Corporation is part of a national effort to reduce air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions that cause global warming.

Since the launch of its first industrial steam turbine in 1956, 花蜜直播app has established a proven track record that includes the delivery of over 340 steam turbine units worldwide. This latest delivery brings the number of steam turbine power generation units 花蜜直播app has shipped to South Korea up to 37.

Today’s growing demand for distributed power generation systems continues to fuel sales at 花蜜直播app as it moves forward to bring its energy and environmental business to new heights.
